The 2007 season opened up on the 6th anniversary of Dale's death. What a fitting tribute that Kevin Harvick would win the Daytona 500! Likewise as usual, it was shrouded in controversy as NASCAR let the final few seconds of the race finish under a full checkered flag instead of throwing the yellow when the first car spun. Personally, I'm glad they hesitated as they had through the entire race before this accident, and let the race be decided by RACING to the finish line! Congratulations to the winner of the Daytona 500: Kevin Harvick! Proof you never give up, you never give in, you never quit or you'll never win!
 
Incredible race, Awesome finish!
It's been 6 years and it seems like yesterday. To those who say "Get over it;" I pray you never have to do that in regards to your favorite driver! To those who remember, do as Teresa said in the very beginning, "Remember what made you his fan!"
May God bless all the drivers to a safe season, especially safe restrictor plate races and a competitive season where the heart and soul of the sport can be obvious again!

Richard Childress is back!
 
What a wonderful finish at Daytona with Harvick winning and Burton third, though not for Bowyer! The season is kicking off like it ended last year and RCR has proven it's not a fluke, it's not just a temporary deal, RCR is back and every rear view mirror best be watching out cos if there's an RCR car there, it will be passing as soon as possible!
